America right now is a failure

If your child isn’t taken from you after you committed a misdemeanor, then congratulations.

If your child isn’t killed in a shooting at his/her school, then congratulations.

If you and your child aren’t forced out of your home after a destructive storm because your government decided you’re not worth helping, then congratulations.

If your child isn’t harassed or punished for exercising their right to protest, then congratulations.

If your child won’t need to rely on Medicare (trust fund set to run out in 8 years) or Social Security (trust fund set to run out in 16 years), then congratulations.

If you have a soul, then stop congratulating yourself and start giving a damn about those who don’t get to live a life like yours.
